Short answer: don’t count on flying the DJI Flip as solo FPV. If you put on goggles the FAA treats it as FPV and you must have a visual observer next to you (unaided line of sight + constant communication). Use the Flip as a regular camera drone for solo/casual flights — or pick the DJI Neo 2 for real FPV compatibility.
